If you live more than 90 minutes away, we hope to make the best use of your time before you travel. Dr. Silverman will provide a review of your situation.
Simply mail to our Edina office the following:
Hint: Don't expect other doctor's offices or hospitals to do this for you. You will have much more success if you do it yourself.
After performing a thorough file review, Dr. Silverman will provide a general recommendation for the direction of your care. While the most accurate diagnosis is possible with a physical exam, reviewing the history narrows the range of possible diagnoses. If we feel we can help you, we will ask you to make an appointment, and we may request that you obtain another study (such as nerve tests, MRI or CT Scan) prior to your visit. If we believe another type of care provider -- such as a neurologist, physical medicine doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor, etc. -- would be a better solution for you, we will make the referral.
No matter what the situation, you have our commitment that we will work to find you a solution, even if it means directing you to another provider. While others may just say, "We're sorry, we can't help you," you will never hear that from our office.
"I came to see you about a sore ankle after being referred by Dr. Scott Benson of Apple Valley Medical Center. Your diagnosis of a pinched nerve in my back was right on. You suggested I see a physical therapist. After much delay I went to see Dr. G.N. in Apple Valley. He made some adjustments and set up a back strengthening exercise program which I have continued to use. I actually feel better than I’ve felt in years. THANK YOU!" J.M.
