We’re only a week away from Our Hearts To Your Soles 2015, and we couldn’t be more excited! Between organizing sponsors, making schedules for volunteers and helping spread the word about the event, it’s been a hectic couple of weeks. But all the hard work will certainly be worth it.
Here’s a quick reminder of the event details:
- What – Our Hearts To your Soles 2015
- When – November 24th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Where – The Dorothy Day Center at 183 Old 6th Street in St. Paul
- Why – Our Hearts To Your Soles provides free footwear, foot and ankle health screenings and legal advice to those in the community who may not otherwise have access to these items and services.
This will be the ninth year that Silverman Ankle and Foot has worked with the Our Hearts To Your Soles foundation, and we believe this will be the best year yet. Dr. Silverman and a few other physicians will be providing the free foot and ankle health screenings, we’ve compiled some of the best attorneys in the city to give out legal advice to any attendees with questions, and a whole bunch of volunteers have graciously pledged their services to help hand out shoes, socks and other items.
The event would not be possible without the generous support of everyone involved. So I want to take a moment to thank each and every person who has contributed to this wonderful program. We are pretty set in terms of volunteers, but if you want to help those in your community who are less fortunate, please consider donating to the Our Hearts To Your Soles foundation on their website. Any donation helps, and OHTYS notes that a $15 donation will provide one person with a new pair of shoes, some fresh socks and a free health evaluation by a licensed physician.
