Our staff coordinates the elective surgical scheduling during normal office hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. They can be reached directly at 952-224-8500. Emergency surgeries are scheduled by Dr. Silverman.
Scheduling Flexibility
Because Dr. Silverman’s surgical time tends to fill, it may not be possible to schedule your surgery as soon as you would like. If you can be flexible with time and/or location, we may be able to arrange your treatment and get you on the road to recovery sooner. If you wish to be placed on our waiting list for cancellations, please notify our staff. Since cancellations are unpredictable and often last minute, it is possible that with an advance notice of 24 hours, you could have the opportunity to access an available opening in the schedule.
Dr. Silverman performs surgery every day of the week, scheduling with several hospitals on a routine basis. Although emergencies are rare, they do require Dr. Silverman’s immediate attention and can alter the time your surgery may be performed. Please understand that our staff has no control over the time surgeries are scheduled and can not honor requests for specific times. We will do everything in our power to find a time slot that works for you, but know that not all dates and times will be available.

Pre-Certification
It may take up to one week to get approval for elective surgery from your insurance carrier. For cases involving third party payers, such as workman’s compensation, approval may be delayed much longer. In an effort to control your health insurance costs, your insurance carrier may dictate where you can have surgery. It is in your best interest to contact your insurance provider well in advance of your surgery to get any necessary information and avoid any potential surprises down the road.
