Surgical Scheduling
Kathi coordinates the elective surgical scheduling during normal office offices from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. She can be reached directly at 952-920-4333 ext 321. Emergency surgeries are scheduled by Dr. Silverman.
Because Dr. Silverman's surgical time tends to fill, it may not be possible to schedule your surgery as soon as you would like. If you can be flexible with time and/or location, we may be able to arrange your treatment sooner and get you on the road to recovery. If you wish to be placed on our cancellation list, please notify Kathi. Since cancellations are unpredictable and often last minute, it is possible that with an advance notice of 24 hours, you could have the opportunity to access an available opening in the schedule. Dr. Silverman performs surgery every day of the week scheduling with several hospitals on a routine basis. Although emergencies are rare, they do require Dr. Silverman's immediate attention and can alter the time your surgery may be performed. Please understand that Kathi has no control over the time surgeries are scheduled and can not honor requests for specific times.

PRECERTIFICATION:
It may take one week to get approval for elective surgery from your insurance carrier. For cases involving third party payers such as workman's compensation, approval may be delayed much more. In an effort to control your health insurance costs, your insurance carrier will dictate where you can have surgery, however, we will make every effort to honor your preference. |
