The Silverman Ankle & Foot Difference
Dr. Silverman and his dedicated staff care about their patients. They frequently receive word-of-mouth referrals; patients rave about the extraordinary, personalized service and care they receive. Dr. Silverman will go out of his way, not only to talk to you in-depth about your diagnosis and treatment, but he will also take the time to ensure you understand every step of the planned medical procedure. He strongly believes that working together with each patient leads to better results. As a father of three, Dr. Silverman and his employees wants you and your family to get the full attention you deserve.
He also believes that there is no one right way to manage each particular patient. With some he will exhaust all appropriate non-surgical options. With others, he will offer quicker correction through surgery, something he has learned after participating in several hundred surgeries during his training. Since 2001 he has performed more than 500 surgeries each year. His typical week involves fixing failed bunion surgeries, stabilizing ankle ligaments, and repairing and replacing tendons, cartilage and joints.
He has lectured around the country to health care providers and the public. He has been a featured speaker at large academic institutions, university and private hospitals, clinics, and community health-care drives. He provides continuing education to fellow physicians and surgeons, lawyers, nurses, and physical therapists. It is not surprising that these and other health care professionals trust themselves and their families to his care for foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Silverman's medical credentials are extensive. After five years of orthopaedic training, he completed an intensive year of sub-specialty fellowship training in the management of foot and ankle disorders. He also holds Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery: a premiere measure of respect for his clinical and surgical skills from the senior members of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
