Victory Masks
A local company has developed an insert that can help turn your ordinary mask into a much more effective filter. The Victory Mask, produced by Augustine Surgical right here in Eden Prairie, is a specialized insert that goes underneath your normal mask to turn it into a functioning N99-style mask. I’ve been wearing my Victory Mask when I’m out and about, and it really helps provide peace of mind while also helping to reduce potential virus transmission.
The peace of mind is great on a couple of fronts. For starters, mask wearing really requires all parties to be compliant. If there is anything that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught me, it’s that there is no way to ensure compliance in human beings, even if it is for the greater good. With the Victory Mask insert, I can have peace of mind knowing that my mask is effectively filtering out potentially dangerous air particles, instead of hoping that everyone’s normal mask cuts down on air particle movement to help slow virus spread.
