Our annual charity event was this weekend, and we’re pleased to announce that it was a massive success!
We were able to provide Red Wing Boots to 359 attendees, and our team provided even more foot exams. We were also able to distribute 600 pairs of socks, 200 toothbrushes and winter gloves, and the Fairview nursing team gave out nearly three dozen flu vaccinations. Everyone working the event brought a positive attitude and a willingness to lend a hand, while every attendee we spoke too was extremely grateful for the opportunity to receive care and supplies that they may not otherwise have access to. It felt wonderful to be able to give back to members of our community who need it most.

We just want to take a second to shout out a few people who helped make the event a huge success. The David Lewis Memorial Our Hearts To Your Soles charity event would not be possible without the massive efforts by Steph Riegelman from Red Wing Shoes and Chris Boosalis of Minnesota Prosthetics and Orthotics, but they are also just the tip of the iceberg in terms of people we need to thank. A major shoutout to the staff at Catholic Charities, our team of volunteers, and everyone else who assisted with the event, from shoe fitters and runners to doctors and nurses. We were able to help hundreds in our community get the care they need ahead of what we expect to be another cold winter here in Minnesota, and your efforts certainly made a massive difference in the lives of many. We simply can’t thank you all enough for helping us put on another wonderful event.
We say it every year, but we’ll say it again, we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
