We are extremely excited to announce that after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the David Lewis Memorial Our Hearts To Your Soles event will be back this year! The special event will take place Wednesday, July 20th at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul.
Our Hearts To Your Soles 2022
More specifics about the exact time of the event will be coming in the near future, but plan for an evening of fun and giving back to the community. For those of your unfamiliar with the David Lewis Memorial Our Hearts To Your Soles event, it’s an annual event where orthopedic specialists and local businesses come together to give back to the community. In the past, we’ve helped provide foot exams, give out hundreds of pairs of Red Wing shoes and boots, provide socks and hygiene kits and provide helpful legal advice to people in the area who may not otherwise have access to these items and services.
If you’re unfamiliar with David Lewis, he was an orthotist who devoted his life to helping people get back on their feet. He was a very familiar face at Our Hearts To Your Soles, having volunteered at the event with his wife and family for more than a decade prior to his unexpected passing in 2019. We remembered his legacy by adding his name to Our Hearts To Your Soles, and we’re excited that the event is back on the calendar after a two-year break due to COVID-19.

In the meantime, if you are interested in volunteering at the two-hour event, please let us know! We’re always looking for people to help with setup and cleanup, or to just provide extra hands to help with finding shoes and removing boxes during the event.
